The ISW pipeline pump is a horizontal, single-stage centrifugal pump for clean water and similar liquids. It combines an end-suction pump casing with a compact motor-driven structure. Therefore, it needs less installation space than many standard long-coupled pumps.

As an industrial pump manufacturer, we supply ISW pumps for building services, factory water systems, HVAC circulation, irrigation, and municipal projects. We can match the flow, head, motor, materials, and flange standard to each application. In addition, every pump can be supplied as a complete base-mounted unit.

ISW Pipeline Pump Technical Parameters

The attached photos show several pump sizes. Therefore, the table below gives the typical range of the full ISW series.

Parameter Typical Series Range
Pump type Horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump
Flow rate 1.1–1,200 m³/h
Head 7–150 m
Motor power 0.18–250 kW
Inlet size DN15–DN300
Speed 1,450 or 2,900 rpm
Standard liquid temperature Up to 80°C
Maximum system pressure 1.6 MPa
Pump casing Cast iron
Impeller Cast iron or stainless steel
Shaft Carbon steel or stainless steel
Shaft seal Mechanical seal
Connection Flanged
Standard voltage 380 V, 50 Hz
Optional power supply 415 V, 440 V, 460 V, 50/60 Hz

Actual performance depends on the selected model, impeller diameter, motor speed, and liquid properties. Therefore, customers should confirm both the required flow and total head before ordering.

How the ISW Pump Works

The motor turns the impeller inside the pump casing. As the impeller rotates, it draws liquid through the axial inlet. Then, centrifugal force moves the liquid toward the outer part of the casing. Finally, the pump sends the liquid through the top discharge port at a higher pressure.

This simple flow path supports steady operation. Moreover, the motor and pump use a compact connection, so the unit has fewer alignment points. This helps reduce installation work and makes routine service easier.

Typical Model Options

The ISW series includes many pump sizes. The following models show common rated operating points.

Reference Model Rated Flow Rated Head Motor Power Speed
ISW40-125 6.3 m³/h 20 m 1.1 kW 2,900 rpm
ISW50-160 12.5 m³/h 32 m 3 kW 2,900 rpm
ISW65-200 25 m³/h 50 m 7.5 kW 2,900 rpm
ISW80-250 50 m³/h 80 m 22 kW 2,900 rpm
ISW100-315 100 m³/h 125 m 75 kW 2,900 rpm

A, B, and C model suffixes usually show a trimmed impeller option. These versions provide lower head and may use less motor power. Meanwhile, larger pumps may run at 1,450 rpm for smooth, high-flow service.

Applications

The ISW horizontal pipeline pump is designed for clean water or liquids with similar properties. Common uses include:

  • Industrial water supply
  • Municipal water transfer
  • Building pressure boosting
  • HVAC cooling-water circulation
  • Heating-water circulation
  • Cooling tower systems
  • Garden and farm irrigation
  • Fire water supply systems
  • Equipment cooling
  • Long-distance water transfer
  • Water treatment plants
  • Factory process-water systems

The standard ISW pump is not designed for sewage, abrasive slurry, or strongly corrosive chemicals. For these liquids, select a sewage pump, slurry pump, or chemical pump with suitable materials.

Material and Motor Options

Cast iron is the standard casing material for clean-water service. However, stainless steel impellers, shafts, and other wetted parts can be supplied when better corrosion resistance is needed.

We can also match the motor to the installation site. Available options may include high-efficiency motors, explosion-proof motors, weather-protected motors, and different voltage or frequency ratings. In addition, the pump can work with a variable-frequency drive when the system requires changing flow or pressure.

Installation Guidelines

Install the pump on a flat and firm foundation. Then, support the inlet and outlet pipes separately so their weight does not press on the pump casing.

Keep the suction pipe short and direct. Also, make sure every suction joint is airtight. Before startup, fill the pump and suction line with liquid because the ISW pump is not self-priming.

Next, check the motor rotation and open the inlet valve fully. The pump should not run dry. In addition, avoid operating it for a long time with the outlet valve fully closed. Correct installation protects the mechanical seal and helps the pump run smoothly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the ISW pipeline pump self-priming?

No. Fill the pump and suction pipe with water before startup.

Can it pump hot water?

The standard ISW model normally handles liquid up to 80°C. For hotter water, choose a hot-water version with suitable seals and materials.

Can the pump use a variable-frequency drive?

Yes. However, the motor and operating range must suit variable-speed control.

How do I select the correct model?

Start with the required flow and total head. Then, confirm the liquid temperature, pipe size, power supply, and installation conditions.
