The diesel flood prevention self-priming pump provides fast water removal where grid power is not available. It combines a centrifugal self-priming pump, diesel engine, fuel system, control panel, and mobile trailer in one practical unit.

Because the pump is driven by a diesel engine, it can work at remote sites and during power cuts. Therefore, it is ideal for flood control, emergency drainage, construction dewatering, irrigation, and municipal water transfer.

As a pump manufacturer, we offer open-frame two-wheel units and enclosed four-wheel trailer units. In addition, the pump size, engine power, trailer, controls, materials, and connections can be matched to each project.

These figures describe a broad product range. However, the final flow, head, engine power, suction lift, and solid size depend on the selected model and operating conditions.

Fast Self-Priming Operation

The self-priming casing can remove air from the suction line after the pump chamber has been filled for the first startup. As a result, the pump can draw water from pits, rivers, canals, and flooded areas without placing the engine near the water.

A non-return valve helps keep liquid inside the casing after shutdown. Therefore, the pump can restart more quickly during repeated drainage work. Vacuum-assisted priming is also available when faster priming or a long suction pipe is required.

Independent Diesel Power

The diesel engine allows the pump to operate without an outside electrical supply. This is especially useful during storms, floods, and other emergencies when local power may fail.

Engine options can be selected according to the required pump speed and absorbed power. Moreover, the unit can include:

  • Electric starting system
  • Battery and charging system
  • Fuel tank and fuel gauge
  • Engine speed control
  • Oil-pressure protection
  • Coolant-temperature protection
  • Emergency stop button
  • Weather-resistant control panel
  • Automatic start and stop controls

Mobile Trailer Options

The compact two-wheel unit is easy to move around farms, small construction sites, and local drainage areas. It is also simple to store when the emergency season ends.

For larger pumps, a four-wheel trailer provides better stability and towing support. In addition, an enclosed canopy helps protect the engine and control system from rain, dust, and accidental contact. Sound-reduced enclosures are available for work near homes, hospitals, or urban areas.

Road use must follow local rules for brakes, lights, suspension, and towing equipment.

Water and Wastewater Handling

Standard versions are suitable for rainwater, river water, and other low-viscosity liquids. Selected models can also use a wide-passage impeller for water containing mud, leaves, sand, and small suspended solids.

Available options include:

  • Non-clog impeller
  • Replaceable wear plate
  • Larger solid passage
  • Front inspection cover
  • Cast-iron or stainless steel impeller
  • Abrasion-resistant internal parts
  • Quick-connect hose fittings

The maximum solid size varies by model. Therefore, the type and size of debris must be confirmed before pump selection.

Typical Applications

The diesel flood prevention self-priming pump can be used for:

  • Municipal flood control
  • Emergency stormwater drainage
  • Road and tunnel dewatering
  • Construction-site drainage
  • River and canal water transfer
  • Agricultural irrigation
  • Reservoir water transfer
  • Mine and quarry dewatering
  • Industrial emergency drainage
  • Firefighting water supply
  • Temporary bypass pumping
  • Pond and fish-farm circulation

Installation and Startup

Place the trailer on firm, level ground and apply the parking brake. Next, connect the suction hose and make sure every joint is airtight. A suction strainer should be installed to stop large debris from entering the pump.

Before starting, fill the pump casing with clean water. Then, check the engine oil, coolant, fuel, battery, and hose connections. Start the engine at low speed and increase the speed gradually after the pump begins to discharge water.

Never operate the pump dry for a long time. Also, keep the suction line short and avoid sharp bends, air pockets, and damaged hose seals.

Manufacturer Customization and Testing

We can match the pump set to the required flow, head, suction depth, liquid condition, and site layout. Available services include:

  • Pump and diesel engine selection
  • Two-wheel or four-wheel trailer design
  • Open-frame or enclosed construction
  • Custom fuel-tank capacity
  • Hose and quick-coupling supply
  • Control and alarm systems
  • Automatic level control
  • Remote monitoring options
  • Custom paint and branding
  • Performance and startup testing

Before shipment, the unit can be checked for rotation, priming, sealing, vibration, engine operation, and basic hydraulic performance.
